There are many web sites out there on the web that are not updated frequently. Why? This could be a few reason why, such as the site designer is not longer available to update the site, or the company doesn't see the benefit of providing their customers with new information, pictures, or even refreshing their site design wise.

Many companies feel that they can have their staff do their updates, while this does save you money at the moment, it can provide you with future loss of profits. Why? If you have someone work on your site that is not familiar with HTML, this can cause numerous problems such as broken links, your pages are exposed (no security), navigation becomes invalid, there are many things that can go wrong. Would you want your customer to go through this? We don't think they will stick around at your site very long if they cant find what they are looking for, or realize your site is messed up and would think that your company must be ran the same way. That's where your loss of profits come into play, and you end up paying a professional to redo your site and fix your problems. So get it right the first time!

When you first approach BlackPort Design, LLC for site updates, some points that we will need from you in order to best serve you, would be the following:

What is it about your site that you would like changed? Graphics? Layout? Colors? Fonts? Site optimization for search engines? Content? Broken Links? Navigation? or and entire site change?

We will provide you with an estimate before any work begins.

Updating your web site is a custom price quote based upon what you need updated and an estimate of how many hours it will take to complete the project.

We offer yearly contracts.. AND we can update your site and only charge you at the time of service. There is a minimum of 2 hours per call only. The rate is $45 per hour and time is rounded up to the nearest 30 mins increment.

What is included with your maintenance

Minor updates should not exceed more than 40% content change of any current existing single page. Any new pages will result in a $75 per page fee.

We will provide up to two (2) hours of consultation per every 5 web pages, this includes meeting for consultations. The hourly rate of $45 will be applied thereafter.

What is not included:

Create new graphics, pages, content, code, scripts, media, or other additional elements; these will attain a separate fee.

We will advise you on any requested work that falls within these bounds.

We will not be responsible for errors and omissions contained in website content.

Contract payments are due on the monthly anniversary of the signed contract date.
